The Adventure Aves Team
Our aim is to make your rafting trip in Nepal the best part of your holiday. We are proud of our team who constantly strive to do that. On the river you may meet some of our younger trainee staff who Dil hopes will be the guides of the future and continue to provide great whitewater trips.
Dil Bahadur Gurung
Shaka Laka Boom Dil Bahadur Gurung! With over 21 years guiding experience Dil started Adventure Aves Nepal out of a passion for great whitewater trips. He and his team aim to provide a great rafting or kayaking experience making your Nepal trip exciting, enjoyable and memorable while maintaining the very highest safety standards. Dil is a certified Whitewater Rescue Technician and IRF Guide Level 4/5 with First Aid and CPR. He has enjoyed guiding in India, Japan and Bhutan and hopes to paddle in many more countries. Dil believes in passing on his knowledge and skills to the guides of the future so that Nepal maintains it’s reputation as a great whitewater destination.
Binod Gurung loves to be on the water. His passion for kayaking is infectious and since joining us in 2009 he has worked hard at his trade and become an excellent rafting guide and kayaking instructor. Binod won the junior section of the Himalayan Whitewater Challenge in 2010 and has since become a competitive senior. He loves finding out about other countries from our clients, especially those with great whitewater.
Growing up on the banks of the Trishuli river, it is not surprising Nirmal wanted to become a guide. Friendly and down to earth, Nirmal is never happier than running a river and showing our clients the Nepal he loves.
Anyone who visits our office or gets in touch with us by phone or email will know Nikki. Chained to her desk she answers all enquiries with as much information as she can and loves to hear the stories our clients have to tell when they return from their trip. When not busy with clients or enquiries she can be found tidying up, nagging Dil (her husband) or generally ensuring we all know where we should be or what we should be doing. Occasionally we let her out to sample the fun on the river.
Part of the Adventure Aves family, these guides do a great job at making your trip with us packed full of fun and great memories. All of them are Whitewater Rescue Technician qualified and first aid trained and make your safety their number one priority so that you can relax and enjoy your trip.
